ROAMEO may sound romantic, but hazardous duty is also part of day-to-day life for a working intercom. VOGTLE, a Southern Companies nuclear power generation facility and long-time RTS customer, agreed to test the new cellular DECT-based wireless intercom system in a containment area where spent nuclear fuel is removed and replaced.
This is a particularly challenging radio environment due to the shape of the containment "dome." The team at VOGTLE is continuing their working tests with ROAMEO with support from the RTS sales and support team.
